V40 Towbar choice and fitting
I need to fit a bar to my '04 V40 1.9D to tow a fairly lightweight dinghy trailer, was wondering what's the best choice, supplier, etc...?
I don't want to cut or remove the bumper if at all possible, and I notice that both A1 and Witter seem to do bars that don't require this. I'm a bit hazy on the electrics too, I've fitted bars to my VW Camper and an Escort Van and did the electrics on both with no trouble at all, but the Volvo is rather more sophisticated and I'm not clear on how and where to connect the wiring. I notice that Witter do a dedicated wiring kit for the S40 and wondered if this fits the V40 too, as far as I can tell it's simple plug-in system but does my V40 have a socket for this and where do I find it?

I'm fairly new on here but I think I've read that some of the members fit towbars for a living. I suggesst a search might turn up some info. Dave
