I've ordered the Pagid hose from ECP. If id doesn't come with new washers for the banjo bolt, can they be picked up from local motor factors?

replacing brake hoses
On old cars this apparently straighforward job can become quite testing ,because of seized connections .Quite often it is impossible to free the nut at the connection with the solid hose (14mm and 11mm iirr)which means you have to make a new line back to the abs unit .Also you will need to have the bleed nipple freed off ,sometimes difficult .Use freeing fluid and let it soak in overnight .In any case, you can cut the old hose which will enable you to get a ring spanner on the connection to the caliper ,which should not be able to resist that .
Hope it all comes apart easily ,and if it doesn't ,get back on here and we will guide you

Okay, so the brake hoses are here in record time from ECP. I ordered them yesterday afternoon and used the free delivery option.
I just had a closer look at the caliper. Am I right in understanding there is no banjo bolt or am I missing something? So, basically, are there no washers that I need to renew? I hope I'm not annoying members with too many questions. I do so for the 2 reasons: 1: So all the information is present for people who want to do the job later 2: I use my friend's garage where my tools are also stored so I like to gather all the information, parts and tools I need to then go and tackle the job in, hopefully, one go. Yes, often I get stuck so have to go and pick something up mid-job, but I like to minimise the risk of that happening by getting advice from those with experience here. |

No banjo .The threaded end goes straight into the caliper body ,no washers .Thread very fine so careful not to cross thread .
