S60 fog lights when caravan connected
Hi
I have a Volvo towbar fitted to my S60 (2003) with the 13 pin socket but have found that the caravan fog lights don't come on . I'm aware that there is a software upgrade to switch the car fog lights off when towing to stop glare off the front of the caravan but does this need to be done for the caravan fog lights to work at all ? I've checked the wiring is all connected and contacts are clean and i've used a tester to the wiring but there is no power to the fog light feed ( pink wire i believe ) . Any advice be great . Are the car fog lights working ok?
Pin 2 is fog lights on the 13 pin socket , there is a number printed on the end of the white wires in the boot from the socket . It should pick up the rear fog lamps at the tow wiring socket standard in the boot ... but when fitting the wire has to be inserted in the socket plug in the car maybe wire 2 is taped up?

Yes , car fog lights are working fine . Pin number 2 wire is inserted into plug and this lines up with the pink wire on the cars plug which is the same colour as the live wire going to the foglight circuit on the foglight bulb holder . Can't understand why this pink wire in the plug on the car loom has no live too it when the fog lights are on . Found that the feed to the fridge and to the caravan battery also didn't work but i've traced that to no fuses in the fuse box !
