Can you identify this indicator and headlamp stalk?

Just replaced this on my 1800E. It pokes up at an angle of about 45degs and the kink in the stalk meant that it fouled the housing binacle when the headlamp flash/main beam action was operated. Obviously someone had not been able to source the correct control.

So, it's in very good condition, with nice chrome and screws right into the housing on my 1800E. Does anyone know what car it belongs to?

That's the Directional/Momentary Headlight Sw from a 122 and early 1800s! I don't know for certain if that style was fitted to 1800Es. What function was it used for? It certainly looks like it has some nonstandard bends...

Not Amazon as they had the spade type plastic end with grooves in. 1800 but possible with non standard bends as Ron says. Reshape to suit your cowl.

Not 1800E, at least not mine, its mostly straight.
I'm guessing its a Lucas switch, so could fit "anything".

Don't think it can be Amazon, as Amazon is identical to 1800, but with grooved spade end as described above. In fact, Brookhouse was out of 1800 switches, so I have bought an Amazon one.

The old switch operated both flash and main beam on the headlights. Would-be impossible to bend cleanly. Seems to be of Volvo quality!

It still looks like an Amazon/1800 switch to me...but maybe I'm missing something...

The unit I took off my car is basically identical to Amazon/1800, but the kinked stalk means it pokes up at 45 degs and too far towards the driver, meaning it fouled the cowl when using the headlamp control. Previous owner had helpfully bent the cowl.

Hi Ron, the switch part may be the same as an amazon, but the arm is different. I believe these type of switches were used on many classic cars of the era, such as Austin’s, jags, etc. etc.

It certainly has a familiar look from the distant past for me, my Father had a 1966 Humber Sceptre which I learned to drive in, perhaps that's what has triggered my memory!

Although my car is RHD, it.spent most of its life in Germany, which makes me feel that the control is at least European, if not Volvo. I wonder if the assembly might have come from a Volvo truck?
