SC900 head unit wanted
The SC900 audio head unit (with 3CD player etc.) in my '97 V70 has developed a fault, so I'd like another one - needs to be fully working and with the security code. Anybody able to help? If so, please reply here or PM me.
Thanks

There are two SC901s on eBay currently. I don't know what the difference between 900s and 901s is, they appear identical with the same cassette.
If for an unknown-to-me reason the 901 isn't compatible, there is an SC900 on there too - but missing the 3CD cassette. Might still be useful if your 3CD cassette is not borked.

I don't know the difference between 900 and 901 either, I'd assume the 901 is compatible, but if I end up with another 900 that's fine, it does everything I want it to do and sounds fine to me, so not that bothered really. Cheers!

901 has an adjustible graphic equalizer (and can alter the rear speakers separately from the fronts).

Sorted! A big thanks and thumbs up to Macclesfield Garages who sold it and sent it to me - nice one. The old one had a fault where intermittently it would stop playing FM radio. AM radio and CD were fine, it just went silent on FM until you went over a bump then it'd come back on, then another bump and it'd go off. I thoroughly cleaned all the plugs at the back but no difference, I could reproduce the fault by tapping the case with a small hammer, so almost certainly a bad contact or solder joint somewhere, so I tried getting inside it to fix it but although I'm normally quite good at that sort of thing this one beat me. I figured that I'd probably break something if I tried to get deep inside it, so this replacement one has sorted me out with relatively little hassle in the end. Cheers all!
