With a hard Brexit happening at any moment, that doesn't surprise me at all.
Volvo is playing safe although I believe that reinstating the borders and border procedures will lead to even longer delays.

The lead time on XC60 T8 has no link to Brexit.....

.. I stand corrected

... it obviously has nothing to do with the Fact Volvo UK have sold the capacity allocated to them by the factory right up to week 46 production (Nov 11th onward).....or that the vehicles have to travel from the East of China to the UK through various checkpoints/borders, which takes around 8-10 weeks including time held at various points / time between the factory/train yards... but what do I know?...

It may well (and more than likely) be that other parts of Europe haven't sold their allocation yet and so there is a quicker lead time....

I was always complaining due to the fact that i couldn't handle no more this painful waiting ehehe So yes you that have ordered now yours cars...well you have a lot to suffer

I ordered a T8 Polestar Engineered at the end of April and still don't have a build slot assigned. Dealer has suggested it will be March 2020 at the earliest that I get it and that all build slots for 2019 have been allocated. It will be my first Volvo, but can't decide whether to wait it out or cancel and look elsewhere. Current PCP goes back in November which complicates matters!

Is it worth the wait?!

Of course it is ... but I am slightly biased!

I suppose the million dollar question is how accurate is the delivery forecast? And if it’s likely to change, is going to improve or slide?
