Default Goblin Works Garage on Quest

An edition of this program is on Quest TV tonight, teaching budding boy-racers how to mess up a reasonable car (and possibly invalidate their insurance). However, in the trailer over the last few days there was an interesting backdrop - a late 1970s Volvo 245 estate in green....
I managed to get the registration after a few re-watches - XAN958T, which according to the gov websites isn't currently MoTd but more importantly hasn't been taxed for years.
So the question: when exactly was this series made - years ago? Does this car still exist, as round-headlight 240 estates are very rare. Does anybody know?

Can't speak for the age of the programme but last year I put the registration number of one of my dads ex cars[a Silver Cloud III]to see if it still existed, the system came up with not found[or something like that]so I presume it's not a survivor.Going on that I'd say if the Volvo is showing on the site[s] as not tested/taxed then unless it's been disposed of without their being notified then the car is still about?

The programme is brand new, the 240 episode was on this week. Did you watch it? What did you think of the finished car?

Painted on patina! As fake as the show. Ass holes, can't see them getting a second series

That probably means it’s been put on a private number.
My v70 comes up not found on its original plate (on a private one), but when I try and find a car that was scrapped following a crash nearly 30 years ago it comes up (of course I don’t know if it was registered as scrapped properly with the dvla)
