Default Picked up Volvo on Friday but probs already

I picked up my 2016 XC90 D5 on Friday. It is inscription spec and I absolutely love it. It has intellisafe and I was told ACC but I cant get it took work . I have spoken with the volvo garage who say it does have it because the buttons are on the steering wheel. They want me to take it back to check. Just worried it wont have the feature as it was quite important to me. Do these sometimes drop off the vehicle options during a service or is it likely it doesn't have the feature? Im not sure the sales person knows that much about the car . Left me anxious about what they will say.

According to the price list from 2016, ACC was part of the Intellisafe Pro package.

I don't know whether this is a separate level of Intellisafe but do you have any of the other features listed under Intellisafe Pro?

I have a June 2016 XC90 inscription (2017 MY) I have ACC but I do not think it was standard at the time I ordered it, but I think it was part of the intellisafe package, yours should have it, if not it can be added via software update.
I am not sure if this was available on 2016 MY cars (mid 2015 - early 2016)

Edit: I optioned intellisafe which did include ACC when I ordered my car.

Intellisafe was an extra. It was about 2k. If it has intellisafe it has adaptive cruise. Left and right buttons on the lhs of the wheel toggle between pilot assist, limiter and adaptive cruise.

thanks your replys give me a bit of confidence that they should be able to fix it/add the acc

using the buttons on the left hand side of the wheel you can get cruise control and limiter but I cant get acc. I beleive there is a option which should be checked in the centre console for the acc to be on. I have seen a image of it but cant find it now. 2 cars with dashes between them.

I think you will find your car did not come with the ACC,like others have said, it was an extra in 2016 and few D5 2016 build cars had ACC/pilot assist.

The 2016 T8 hybrids had the built in hardware and just needed a software upgrade if it was not ordered when the car was built (costing about £1000.00) to get the ACC/pilot assist functionality.

they sold it to me saying it has and even say that if the buttons on the wheel (2 chevrons on top and 3 below) are there it does have the feature. I sat in the stationary car whilst the sales person showed me how it worked. Does seem strange that it wont work though.

it was a big part of my decision making as I wanted this feature. Obviously not having it would make the car value reduce . see what they say tomorrow.

In the car settings, you can toggle the type of cruise control that the steering wheel button engages. One is ACC and the other is "standard" non-adaptive cruise control.
Could it be possible that yours has been set to non-adaptive?

I think it's a swipe to the left on the main sensus home screen.

Did you toggle the right/left buttons on the cruise control, with ACC there should be three options left is speed control, middle option is ACC and right option is pilot assist if you have that.
With ACC there is a icon in the Sensus safety feature screen for normal cruise control. Which has to be activated each time engine started.
