Default Fitting Heko wind deflectors

Hi all,

I've acquired a set of these, but I'm struggling to fit them using the clips. The clips are just too big, or the window channels are too small, for them to grip & hold the deflectors in place.

Any tips ?

Cheers Paddy

Ran into this with my old Focus, you'll need something flat headed. A large flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool and really push them in hard. This will wedge the clips in and keep the Wind deflectors from falling out.

Trust me when I say, you'll really need to force the clips in there. Don't be afraid to give them a good strong push.

Cheers for the reply.

I tried a bit of brute force & ignorance but the problen is the lip that the window sits in is soft rubber - so I just displaced that & pushed the clip clean between the rubber & the deflector.

I've got some double sided tape which I'll try the next dry weekend. I'll post back on this thread how I got on.

I have to say I tried the Heko window deflectors and they weren’t very good, so the next time I went with the Climair deflectors, (someone on the site recommended them) and they were easier to fit, no clips needed and were a better finish.

I had Heko deflectors on my Saab 9-5 and drove it all around Europe and they worked really well, don't remember them being particularly difficult to fit so maybe just not a great fit for the S40/V50..?
