MY19 XC60 iPhone/Sensus integration

I took delivery of my XC60 last Friday and I have been trying to work out if it is normal that the Sensus system will make and receive calls from my iPhone 7, but will not read out, or dictate text messages.

I am aware that on the Volvo Support website, it does say that messages are disabled for this phone, and that the Message option, in the Communication settings is greyed out, but I was hoping for confirmation from other members.

I do have Apple CarPlay, but haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.

Settings, Bluetooth, My Volvo Car, Turn on “Show Notifications“.

I had to disconnect and reconnect but I’m up and running.
