Default Front bumper repair 1998 V70

Hi all

I pushed the left front corner of my front bumper hard against a bollard, and it has two cuts where it pressed against the mounting bracket.

One cut is nearly all the way through to the outside, and the other is nearly as bad.

What is the best way to repair this? Some sort of epoxy, or heat gun filler rods or metal stitch staples/mesh etc?

Thinking of going down to Halfords this afternoon to see what they have got.

Or various JB Weld products from Amazon

Thanks
Steve

Have you thought about sourcing a complete replacement bumper?

It might work out a bit easier to do.

Hi Capt Jack,

Yes I have. But it is still not that easy to find a bumper in the right colour, with or without wiper recesses and to get it delivered etc.

And I will almost certainly want to get it resprayed because I will be getting the rest of the car done as well.

It all gets quite expensive!

As well as wanting to sort out this particular bumper, I would like to know how to repair any bumper so I can weigh up my options.

I suppose I should check with Volvo as well because they used to sell the bumpers ready sprayed to code.

Thanks,
Steve
