B230ET pistons
Hi,
I'm the the process of converting my 240 to run a B230ET and it appears as though I've got a knackered piston (no compression on one cylinder). Anyone got or know of a B230ET piston/s? Cheers, Dan |

slightly amusingly I have a brand new set of Mahle ET pistons 40 thou over IIRC. Also a block ready machined with crank polished, balanced with dog dish flywheel and rods. Plan was to build an engine for my 360 but I have other plans for that using an FT or FK. This lot cost me a fortune when I had it all done.... it just needs reassembling really

I was considering just messaging you actually...you seem to have plenty of parts available!! I'm not 100% sure if it is the piston that's at fault...I'm at the mercy of the mechanics!
How much would you be after for the pistons? |

I would like to sell the whole lot actually as I am never going to use it. As the block is bored and ready to go it would make more sense for me to sell complete or build it up and sell. I know I am going to make a loss... that is a fact. From memory the pistons/bearings and machining/polishing work cost me about £600. Let me know if you are interested in the lot and I will think of a price, otherwise I will stick an add in the sales bit before splitting the parts up

Hmm...that's a shame because that set does sound very appealing...but I can't justify spending that kind of money when the engine only needs one piston.
I've got the part number as 0376501...does that ring a bell? |

you mean these?
currently priced at £174 each and sat in my cupboard for 10 years! I doubt a scrap yard will see you 1 piston! the might sell you an engine?? I might have the old pistons somewhere but they will be 0.3mm smaller i think Last edited by volvoz2000; Nov 10th, 2012 at 16:57. |
