I wonder what the answer would have been if company cars and other discounted options were excluded, and ony those spending their own savings gave their answers
I've had two XC90s, and loved them both. Sold the first after 6 years for £12k to the first person to see it (I look after my cars). Thought I'd treat myself to my first new car and a higher spec (Exec), now 8 years old & only 63k miles, but I doubt anyone would pay me even that much for it. I'd love to buy another XC90, but there's no way I can afford a new one. (Can't you hear those violins) |

There's another 3 years for me to change my mind, but at the moment my mind is on a high spec XC90 T8, or possibly one of the mild-hybrids.
However the 112mph limit, assuming it happens, will be a deal breaker and I will go elsewhere.

Given the 70mph limit in the UK, 70 -80mph in France, you could only use the higher speeds in Germany. I trust your driving ability is good enough to cope with speed over 112mph, I doubt many can.

Like another on this post, if the 112mph sticks, my next car which was probably going to be an XC90 will probably not be.
Will probably be a Land Rover of some sort again if they've sorted out their PHEV/MHEV situation by then. Sad as I like Volvo, don't like the speed thing, do take onboard what you've said though wizzpop, just will politely disagree with it - as long as I have a choice of a manufacturer that doesn't restrict me, I'll choose them.

Quote:
Took it up to 120mph on a section of delimited Autobahn - for a very short time only, because the Autobahn only had two lanes, and as I zipped past a row of lorries I thought it only takes one of them to pull out and we're screwed. |

It amuses me reading some of the posts related to the 112 MPH, it also explains a bit why we have so many bad drivers who have no idea how to handle a situation, or they do not look far enough ahead to be ready for an unfolding situation.
Like everything in life, practice makes perfect, (ok no one is perfect, but it helps)

Then you will be disappointed because even Audi is starting to implement it with then new Q4 e-tron...All the premium brands will eventually do so due to autonomy and safety reasons.
