If yo uhave a current 80amp one and add another the same, that gives you 160 amps to play with and you can balance the 'van at the fron twith the two batteries.. Practical Caravan did an article on the fitting process a few months ago... Des. . .

Thanks Des,
One of my pals mentioned that to me, which in theory sounds a good idea, but I would need to make a new battery box etc for it. Also at present I am still not up to much DIY so a battery it will be. Thanks again Jim

Dad's using a trickle charger he got at the Classic Car show (cheaper I think than the caravan guys wanted) to keep his battery topped up; he's killed at least one battery by mistake (Ludite!!!! Why do we let him have technology? Mum cringes when she hears him hitting the keyboard on HER computer!!!!)

Had my Mover fitted today took the fitter about 3 hours to fit and he made an excellent job. Had a play with it in the drive and I am very impressed so far.
Thanks Jim

Forgot to mention the battery in the caravan is an 85 amp battery and spoke the fitter who installed the mover and said it should work with that size of battery without any problem. So I intend to replace the battery once it gives up the ghost or appears to be nut up to the job with a 110 amp one.
Thanks again Jim
