Roof rack for V70R w/o roof rails

Hi All,

I have a 2004 P2 V70R, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a reasonably priced roof rack kit?

I'm really not a fan of the longitudinal rails that came with a lot of these V70s, so would like to avoid fitting these if possible.

After checking my '07 I can tell you the "door jamb pin holes" used for earlier, temporary Volvo racks aren't there anymore. Maybe your '04 has them.

Each of the 4 feet of the racks have a pin which goes into said hole.
Without the rain lip I don't see where you'll get purchase to mount anything.

You can buy generic ones that hook into the top of the doorway when the door is open, I don't know what that does to the paint work, presumably there are rubber pads on them or something

like this (only a point of reference not a recommendation)

Personally I like the traditional roof rails I think it looks weird when I see a volvo without them, it looks like it's gone bald or something lol
