Default Recon wheels or go aftermarket?

My current wheels do not look to bad but have been in the past poorly painted and have some paint flaking.

Not sure if to get current wheels professionally reconditioned, chemical strip, powder coat etc and they say will look like factory new and cost £288.00. Other option is to after market one set for £344.00 and could sell olds wheels on eBay.

Also would add that refurbished originals would potentially be of a better standard of finish.

I had a set of wheels on my Scooby refurbished A number of years ago & the finish was top notch & 3yrs later was a good as the day they were done.

Been looking into this company myself as I'm in Rugby. The wheels on my V70 are well due a refurb as they look tatty with curb rash and paint flaking off.

You'll have to let us know how you get on

Have them professionally redone. These days, cars wearing aftermarket wheel can look chavvy especially on something like the S80. Also not all aftermarket wheels are of high and strong quality.

Fwiw, I have had 2 sets done for the C70. 1 set by a small independant company Total Wheel Works and 1 set by TheWheelSpecialist. Doing approx 800 miles a week rain or shine, both have held up as look like the day I collected them. (I do wash and protect them weekly).
