Default Radio removal

I have a 1992 440. The radio code written in the book and confirmed with volvo does not work. How do i remove the radio? No instructions in the manual and online videos do not match my radio. There are also seemingly no holes etc for a removal tool. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Which model of radio is it?

Some had vertical plastic end covers - prise these off with a small screwdriver to reveal the two holes for the removal pins.

If the code written in the handbook and provided for that car registration from Volvo do not work, then in all likelihood that isn't the original radio unit. In which case, unless by chance it's written on the unit itself, it'll be nigh on impossible to find the code.....

Good luck!

David
