I, rwdKev and Loki the GLT went to Himley Hall, the weather was perfect and I for one had a great time and saw some brilliant cars... ours were the only three Volvos!!! I did look over a few times and saw them getting attention, nice to see others appreciating them.

I will try and organise a meet for the Ironbridge museum if people are interested.

Many thanks to Luke (360beast) for taking the time to sort out the Himley Hall meeting today - great weather, lots of interesting and sometimes unusual, cars and a good venue.

Plus I got to put faces to both his and RWDKev's forum identities.

You're very welcome

That Enigma was an interesting little creation, surprising to hear it was meant to be the new Austin Healey when it is made of a Mazda MX5, Mini and Nissan Micra!

Hopefully the next meet will have a few more people turn up, if not then ah well we will enjoy ourselves

It was, but the original Austin Healey, like MGs, was built from other makers' parts stores and many Morgans are now mechanically BMWs.

And don't forget - the original MX-5/Eunos was inspired by the original Lotus Elan.

Thanks once again to Luke for organising our little meet yesterday at Himley Hall and as always good to put a name to a face.

Ironic it was a Volvo event but we ended chatting about numerous other brands instead. I guess because all three of us are real petrol heads was half the reason we made the effort to turn up in the first place but the fact that that it was a decent car show as well meant that effort was well and truly rewarded.....

Sorry to hear that James, hope she is doing well now.

I'll organise another meet once work has calmed down a bit for me (hopefully October).
