Default New Car..Couple of Probs...

Hi all...Just purchased my 2001 S60 t s 2.0 Manual.

Noticed this morning that when the car was started the RPM needle went up to 1200 and down to about 900 quite fast for about 5 seconds, then the needle dropped down to 600 rpm where it stayed ??

Was wondering if this is an ETM issue or a Maf Sensor Issue?

I would of thought the RPM needle would stay at around 900 revs at tick over ?

Also, where abouts is the Socket for the Vida Dice ?

Any help, much appreciated.

Could be either I guess (is it any different with the MAF disconnected?)...and it should sit at 900 rpm.
Get the codes read...don't guess.!

Default What is a MAF

Yes - I have bought a V70 59 plate and my tac sits at 9k on tick over, but I am experiencing nightmares pulling away, the car just stalls with a sudden stop. Could this be my MAF and what is a MAF anyway

Car is no different with the Maf Disconected, So i guess its not the Sensor.

Will be getting the codes read in a few days, Might give the ETM a clean over the weekend.

On the contrary..if there isn't any difference it rather suggests the MAF is buggered.!
I can only repeat...GET the codes read.!
