Default Spares / Repairs

Not the average S60 D5!

I've spent a small fortune on this car. New parts include;

5 new injectors (185 ones)
Koni gas adjustable front shocks
Hybrid turbo with new core (from 3.0 BMW)
Performance air filter
New power steering pump
New rockers and cam followers
New disks and pads all round (larger vented XC90 front and rear)
poly bushed anti-roll bars
polly bushed wishbones
HD front droplinks
Ball joints
Cam belt
Engine mounts
Binnacle repaired
New sticky UniRoyal front tyres
Oil changed every 4500 miles

Half a tank of juice

And I've just put a new fan belt on. This however is why it's a spares / repair. The belt snapped when I started it this morning just before the daily commute. I put a new belt on but for some reason there's a loud rattle from the top end and the engine is lumpy. It sounds mechanical rather than diesel knock and there's no power.

The windscreen is cracked but it's booked in to be replaced on the 17th of November. Is someone wants the car for repair I can keep the booking, otherwise I'll cancel it.

It's been great fun to drive and had loads of power (220bhp+). It would drive but I wouldn't advise it!

Sad to see it go but my wife is sick of me working on it! Too good to scrap.

£200 NO OFFERS

Forgot to mention new;

Front wheel bearings
Track rod ends
Braided brake pipes
Clutch slave cylinder
Drive shafts
Driveshaft oil seals
Cam shaft oil seal
Crank shaft oil seals

Cheers. I can't reply as I've less than 20 posts!

I contacted my usual volvo specialist, he's told me the snapped belt will have wrapped itself around the crank pully making the cambelt jump a notch.

Could be an easy fix for someone.

The year of the car is 2003.
