I don't think anyone supplies stainless steel wheel nuts for anything! Closest i know of is some Honda wheel nuts that have a stainless steel skin over a mild steel nut, pain in the bum if anyone uses a windy gun on them though!

Why do you want stainless wheel nuts?

Agree, they rust too which pushes out the outer skin so you cant get a socket on properly so you round it off.

Bentley Arnage's sometimes have them on and I drew when I see them at work.

The reason for s/s nuts is that they do not rust,on other cars I have had with exposed wheel nut they all rust at some point and it just draws the eye.S/Steel just look good all the time. The last car I had (reliant scimiter) you couldget S/S nuts for all the standard wheels and it was fit and forget item. They just look really good

Another way round this is to use polished stainless covers (removable type) over the existing nut.
The Volvo originals are good but expensive now and the aftermarket type alloy will initially be ok but as you recognise they determinate. I think I found stainless with the correct threads/angle (Italian manufacturer & expensive)

240 Virgo Wheels:~
My solution has been to replace with aftermarket items- coat with copper slip grease (lightly) and then press on stainless covers. They have an interference fit by being slightly dimpled gripping the wheel nut etc. Some slight adjustment may be required as the removal tool is a horse shoe shape but otherwise quite straight forward to remove prior to the nut. Had these on my car (Virgo wheels) for quite some time now with the wheel nut remaining in good condition & the covers as new:~ Hope it gives an idea.
Bob

Those are plastic versions of the covers Bob Meadows is on about, cheap enough to bin if they tarnish but i had a set on a car for 3 years that still looked as good when i sold it as they did when first fitted. Black ones are also available.

Strangely, it would appear that Volvo do an OEM stainless steel nut for the Virgo wheels, at any rate if Skandix are to be believed.

http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...steel/1067291/

Searching Skandix for 1272648 will yield some alternatives. That is the part number for the OEM wheel nuts for Virgos.

Note that they are not specifically listed as fitting 700/900 cars. I’m not sure how they differ from the chromed wheel nuts for Galaxies and Aurigas (3529669) or the similar-looking chromed wheel nuts for S40/V40s (30824547) which might be worth considering. I think Volvo produced some very similar wheel nuts of slightly different lengths since a job lot I obtained cheaply some years ago showed some variation.
