V70: Electrical - '09 V70 SE LUX Power Tailgate not working

Tailgate not working electrically and nothing else on tailgate working (lights, wiper HRScreen) Info display showing tailgate not closed although it is and alarm indicating open door when set by not flashing indicators, although the tailgate did lock.

After a lot of searching I finally removed the rearmost roof panel (with interior light in it) and there is 2 connector blocks in there, the LH one (nearside) has 2 larger section wires, one is heated rear screen +ive feed, the other is combined -ive earth for heated rear screen and everything else on tailgate.

The pins of the -ive were burnt and not making contact, I cut that wire either side of connector and soldered a link wire to bypass the pins...

Now it all works spot on and the codes are cleared, main codes were B116112 and B116212 of which no reference could be found on line, hence this post to hopefully assist others with same problem.
