Default "book time for maintenance"

Driving to site today I got the message "book time for maintenance"

Car is at 114,000 miles.
I changed the oil myself at 112,500 miles. I presume this is just an automated message to remind me that a service should be due at this point?

Seen as it's been done just a month or so ago, can anyone tell me how to clear the message?
Or do I need VIDA DICE software?

Thanks

If you do a forum search, there is a complicated procedure for doing it. I'm based in Manchester and could meet up with you and plug my VIDA in if you wanted.

thanks TT!
I've found the procedure now! I should have googled before!
I'll give that a go tomorrow! Thanks for the offer though! May take you up on that if i can't get it reset myself!

Default These worked for me on my cars....

2008 Volvo:
The trip odometer must have at least 0.1 mile on it or the light will not reset.
Get in vehicle and do not push down on the brake pedal
Put the key in the slot and push the starter button once
Press and hold down the odometer reset button
While doing this, push the starter button again and hold for 2 seconds
Keep the odometer reset button held in and watch the instrument cluster for the general warning indicator (I) to illuminate. When this happens, release the button.
Turn the vehicle off then back on and verify the message is now out.

2013 Volvo:
Get in car. Do not push brake pedal.
Close Door
Key in slot. Press and hold trip meter reset button
Press & release ignition button once
Press and hold ignition button until dash lights come on, release when lights are on
Yellow warning I will flash 3 times, when it does release trip meter reset button. (Release trip promptly after 3 flashes)
Key out of ignition. Get out of car
lock car, unlock car
get in, close door
start and make sure it cleared

Good grief! And you didn't mention walking backwards towards the car with one trouser leg rolled up! Is there a VIDA option as well?

Wink Complex - yes!

I agree it is a deliberately complex procedure that also changes as the model years progress! But they do work and do get rid of what can be an annoying message every time you start the car. I assume that VIDA is the correct way to do the reset but I have never dabbled so cannot confirm. I'll give the rolled up trouser method a go next time! :-)
