have a look at a company called cable tech they make custom cables for most applications

Probably a bit late now but I've just found out my notification emails were turned off
The company that did the cable swap for me was a small old style motor bike shop, they're used to making up new clutch cables etc for old bikes so was quite happy to do it for me. It's still working fine 17 months later.

there are kits available for making up cables if your plastic part is still good.

get a pear ended brake cable for a tandem bike (up to 3.5m long) and get a mechanical ball end with a grub screw for the throttle body end. i did mine and it cost me 4 pounds to fix.
the pear end is compatible with the pedal cable receiver.
