Low MPG and misfire
Hi all,
My V50 died on me a couple of days ago, CEL didn't come on but car wouldn't rev over 1200rpm, towed to my local garage, they plugged it in and came up with a fault code that translated to the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (I don't know the actual code as my wife dealt with the garage). They reset the fault codes and all seemed fine, now though I get what feels like a misfire through 2-3000rpm (its a lot worse going up hill), above and below this the car drives like a dream, along with this I've only just managed to cover 120 miles on half a tank of diesel. I've read that a failed Fuel Pressure Sensor can give these symptoms, is the FPS the same as the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor? Thanks for any help you can provide, Gez. |
