Default Anti skid service cost ?.

I know a search brings up plenty of posts but, took my 05 V50 in for the free safety check today and asked them to read the codes as the anti skid message appeared recently, they did this without charge and said a new hydraulic modulater is required, part no. 36001319, cost £420ish +vat, now I read stories of £1000+ for the part so is my failed part the Teves MK60 or something else ?.

Paul.

No pauly it needs to come out!!! Anti skid warning with fault code bcm 130 means the hydraulic unit needs replacing
volvo will contribute 100% to cars under 60 months old and 50%
61 - 84 months (which is approx £400.00 depending where you live as labour rates highr the further south you go)

You're not far wrong, where did you get that info from, it doesn't seem to be common knowledge.

I was just going to say the same. Volvo have a Policy Action out on the BCM that covers most. If the car has fsh or not, Volvo Customer Relations often cover 100% on safety related faults anyway

You need to call Volvo Customer Relations ( http://www.volvocars.com/uk/top/abou...ontact-us.aspx ) and ask them. I take your car was over on age/mileage for 100% goodwill ?

I did take it up with Volvo Customer Relations, they said 40% was the max they would contribute. Car is an 05 with 87k on the clock, personally I think this is poor, I had a steering joint replaced FOC on my 13 year old BMW and I know Porsche still replace fuel hoses on 20+ year old 944's.
