Default The gremlins are kicking in!!

Had my 2006(56) S40 2.0d sport SE for 15 months now and love it.

Just noticed a few problems the last few weeks though,

1/ Cruise control not always working, when I press button on steering wheel sometimes nothing illuminates on dash and it wont come on-other times its fine.

2/Rear heated screen not working (heated mirrors ok)

3/Heated seat not working on passenger side(light illuminates on dash)

4/Remote locking has decided to only lock/unlock when the key is pressed when right next to windows, usually works from 100 meters away, have tried other key and its the same so not batteries, and later working fine again.

Anyone else had similar faults? Very annoying!

Had exactly the same thing on the cruise control.

Turned out to be a faulty clutch sensor.

2 and 3 - dead fuse perhaps ? check your manual and fuse box, I had dead doors and it was a simple fuse change.

4 - try cleaning the receiver lens in the car and changing the batteries in the fob - it's possible both could be running low? (they are the same age)

Re- the central locking, if you are in a built up area where there is likely to be wireless networks residential or otherwise it will interfere with the signal from your key and make unlocking/locking the car nigh on impossible.
Try taking the car to an unpopulated area to try the central locking, if it works it could be the above causing the problem.
If I park on the street next to our local town hall I have to walk around the car pressing the remote button to unlock the car and sometimes it takes numerous attempts.

It's RF - there's no receiver lens surely?
