Default New v70 D5 what do you think

Hi just purchased a v79 d5 se auto 2002 of ebay practically on the spur of the moment for £1500.So here goes its not without faults as listed just want to see what opinions and advice are
163k on clock fvsh to 125k then independent got all reciepts and mots from new.
Bodywork very good inside leather little grubby but no damage.
Has 'weeping oil leak from gearbox output seal' as per 155k report.
Transmission yelow light is on and it clunks into gear very slightly.
Smoking from oil cap and dipstick but not smoking from exhaust even with high revs.
Last serviced at 155k and had cambelt at 158k cost £230 all verified via reciepts.

I viewed the car quickly as it was local but due to the price and model i thouht just give it a go, oh also it will need four new tyres they are legal but on wear indicator. So any advice or opinions incl put it back on Ebay !!!

Check the ATF diptstick and have a read of the hundreds of posts about the auto gearbox on these , that would be my main concern everything else sounds ok to me and the price was good . The cam belt was changed on my D5 at 117k miles for the first time but the tensioner was ok so not changed but now its on 158k miles I am thinking about changing it , I suspect there are many D5s about with 200k on the clock with the original tensioner which for most of them would mean the car is scrap value if it fails . I doubt for £230 they did cam belt plus tensioner plus service ?
