Default Swapping rear suspension parts

I discovered the creak in my o/s/r suspension was not the link arm or the upper arm, but was actually the trailing arm front bush. I decided to swap this with my other s40, easiest thing was to swap the whole arm complete with hub, disc etc. I will swap the other brake disc and pads too, as that way I end up with my nice new discs and pads on the car I intend to keep.

I did this job today. While I was there, I discovered the upper link arm also had a slight bit of creak that I hadn't noticed before so as it was easy to do I swapped that as well. The link arm was ok so I left that attached to the body. This meant I did not have to undo and mess about with the bolt which is used to adjust the rear toe setting.

My question is this: as I have swapped the upper link arm on the o/s should I also swap the one on the n/s. I would prefer not to bother and can't really see as it should make a difference, but one presumes the one I now have on the o/s is less worn than the un-swapped one on the n/s.

What do you think?

Incidentally, after all done I noticed a very slight creak from the NEAR side which was 100% never there before! However, I concluded that the car was just trying to wind me up so I have ignored it . I am not swapping the other trailing arm any time soon, I have basically fitted 2 new arms and that is more than enough for the time being! If you've got a pit or a set of ramps you don't know how lucky you are....!!

Swop them both, the creaking was coming from the upper link arm, its a common problem,

Dealer only part at moment but i've heard rummers that there not going to be for much longer

Cheers, yep I have swapped that too now as I was swapping the disc/pads on that side as well (now the "new" car has the new set of discs).

But bummer discovered that now need a new caliper bracket on n/s/r as the one on there is unservicable coz one of the caliper guide pins has seized. Tried lubricant, heat, freeze spray, force, hammer, nope nothing will move it the b*gger. New one £25 from volvo, not so bad I s'pose.
