Gave it a tickle with my wire wheel of doom, hammer, broken screwdriver and a lick of paint

Seat belt button cover fitted to the drivers and passenger buckles

Suspension refitted

Then fitted a spare droplink I had and painted it once fitted hence a bit of overspray on the arms.

I forgot to take a photo while the wheel was off but I cleaned up the carrier where the pads sit, greased the sliders and fitted the disc and pads so the drivers side suspension and brakes are finished.

I have also fitted the gauges and refitted all the trim in the drivers area, removed a stud from the turbo of my spare engine and fitted it to this one, fitted a couple of vacuum nipples to the inlet manifold as a couple had been removed while it was in the scrapyard, torqued up the bellhousing bolts and cleaned the turbo a bit as it was quite oily.

Got my engine crane all built up again so now tomorrow morning I will be straight in to fitting the engine and gearbox to the car.

Oh I also fitted a power steering pump to the engine as the one on the car has a bent pulley and fitted the power steering and alternator belts.

Thanks Dave, it has been a non stop day and I imagine tomorrow will be the same!

Does anyone know where to get replacement studs for the turbo? I need one for my spare engine now.

Do you know the thread size and pitch and the length of the studs? There are plenty on fleabay for various things, i bought the manifold to downpipe studs (stainless steel) for my Rovers on fleabay, fairly cheap as well.

A new personal best 41 minutes to fit an engine and gearbox in the mud and gravel 😂

Going up

And in

I then attached the throttle cable

Swapped the power steering lines on to the pump attached to the engine

Fitted the brake servo hose

Fitted the vacuum line for the cbv

Then decided that I had enough of lying in the mud and working in torrential rain and have now come inside for some lunch and lie down 😂
