XC70 2005 Towbar and Electrics

Hi,
I am looking for a genuine Volvo towbar and electrics for a 2005 XC70 D5. I believe that the part number for the towbar is 31269526.

Any dealer should be able to get you what you need, they will have to activate the trailer module with software.

Thanks for the post but the towbars for this age of car has been discontinued by Volvo so I am looking for a secondhand towbar.

who gave you that info?
They are still listed in the accessory Catalogue... It is very rare for volvo not to be able to supply anything. maybe the classic warehouse? But many dealers can be bothered to look or find out, try Keith Price parts dept 01873 857644 one of the handful who Do care..

That's odd - I fitted a second hand towbar and trailer module to my 2005 XC70 and did not have to get a dealer to activate the module - I just plugged it into the board on the NSR wheel arch and it all worked fine :-)
