AC off and air recirculation orange lights flash for 20 seconds every time car is started. What could cause this? System seems to operate normally.

RE: ECC
It means there is a fault in the climate unit I'm afraid.
From the handbook: "The lights flash for 20 seconds when a fault occurs. If this fault still exists the next time you start the car the lights will flash for 20 seconds again. Contact your Volvo dealer." |

RE: ECC
Most of the 850 models you can read/reset the codes yourself (and repair the problem). If you post model/year I will try and help.

RE: ECC
EEC showing 20 second flashing lights on start up. Dealer says needs new internal temperature sensor which fitted would cost £140 and could be affecting the trip computer, although I haven't noticed anything. If I just buy the part can I fit this easily myself and get rid of the flashing orange lights? Or are there any other solutions? Unit is currently pumping air out at a rather low unchangeable temperature.

RE: ECC
Dealer has just advised "Possible fault with coolant temp sensor - causing A/C lights to flash"
Is this a DIY job or is it back to the dealer ? '97 V70 2.0 10v. |
