Default Interior lights

Hi,

Recently (2 occasions) I've experienced a small issue with the interior lights not fading out when the doors have been closed and ignition turned on. I've gone round the car and opened and closed each door and still they remained on. Last night when I got out of the car and locked it with the key they stayed on as well, however when I got back in, turned on the ignition they then went out. After that they behaved correctly and I was able to lock the doors without the lights staying on.

I can't see any plunger or sensor on the exterior of the doors so assume the sensor that determins if the door is closed is internal to the door ? Or is there some other possibile cause for this issue, which has happened twice in the past two weeks

Don't know if this helps but I have a similar issue on mine. Its only does it on the drivers door, its something to do with the internal switch (will be on the door catch inside the door). Needs adjusting apparently. If I shut the door a bit harder its obviously enough to hit the switch and the lights go out as they should. I'll see if I can dig up anything on adjusting it. just a thought... do any of the marker lights on any doors stay on?

I have the exact same quirk but with my front passenger door, I`m fed up telling my mrs to shut the door a bit harder!

Thanks guys.

I think its the rear off-side (as I opened that door yesterday to put my bag on the rear seat, and the time before had the kids in the car).

Don't know about the door marker lights, didn't think to look.
