XC60 T8 Range Optimisation

Read a couple of reviews of the new Audi Q5 Hybrids which are out to rival the XC60 T8 etc. It appears they have a system whereby if you input your destination into the sat nav, it optimises the use of the electric motor/engine etc to ensure both are used at the most appropriate times etc.
Do the Volvos have anything similar?

Do you know whether that system works only with Hybrid drive mode selected or would an Individual drive mode based on Hybrid work as well? If the former it makes Individual far less useful on the T8.

No, I don’t. I have only used it with hybrid mode selected.

Conditions for the function

For the function to work requires that a number of conditions are met:

A destination is set in the navigation system and the driving distance to the destination is longer than the range possible only on electric drive.
Hybrid drive mode is selected.
The Hold and Charge functions are deactivated.
The hybrid battery is charged.

You could also use HOLD BATTERY function, but i am not sure with which Drive Modes you can use this function.
