Default COMPUTERISED INJECTION & IGNITION ON MY 940GL

I need help!!
My local garage refuse to carry out work on my 940 on the grounds that the cutting off problem I am experiencing is due to tuning and they are not geared to diagnose/work on this type of engine.
Where do I go from here? I cannot afford to spend too much and I guess if I take to a dealer i'll be paying in labour alone more than I paid for the car itself...
Any independent good and well equipped garages on the outskirt of North London (for weekdays) or even Bucks/A3/Herts area that work on Saturdays (for drop out and collection ?).
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Nino
