Default XC90 crack in panoramic roof

A crack has appeared in the panoramic roof. There's no obvious impact damage and the crack can't be felt on either side of the glass.

Any experience on here of this being done under warranty (our insurance excludes panoramic glass from the glass cover)? Feels like an expensive job!

That is a warranty job for sure, take it in before crack can be felt on outside of glass or they may say it is impact damage.

My son had the same thing happen on his Discovery 4, that was fixed under warranty.

Have you spoken to your Insurance company? Also have you checked it is not a warranty issue?

+1 get it to dealer asap, they should appreciate its a warranty job and not damage, stay away from insurance.

I've had a crack in my panoramic roof and taken it to dealers in bradford. They've been brilliant so far and think it's a warranty job as no impact marks anywhere etc. Can't feel crack either inside or outside car. Car in for service end of the month and they will then look at it and hopefully replace.

Hi there.
Looks like you're not alone! During the cold weather last week, I turned on my heating using the Volvo on-call App, went out to my 3 week old XC90, sat in it, then there was a noise above me and the whole sunroof cracked from side-to-side. Volvo are saying it's not on Warranty, and customer service at Head Office are refusing to help. Any advice appreciated.
