Default what do you think, front or back?

Was camping at weekend and on the way out, I hit a brick and destroyed the tyre on the OSF of the car. Being close enough to home, I turned back and limped home before all the air escaped from the damaged tyre.

I have a set of 4 Thors from my old S60 that have been cluttering the place up for the last few years - think I prefer them to the standard wheels (Amalthea?) Going to have to get round to putting a matched set on sometime soon...

Whichever set goes on will need a refurb in the near future.

What do you guys think, front or rear?

I prefer the Amalthea to the Thor (but then, that's what is fitted to mine as standard). I also have a spare set of Tethys rims not too bad but ideally needing a refurb that I'm considering as an alternative set.
Thors might be best for winter use as easier to clean?

Both are good.
The fronts have a substantial look which jibes with a wagon.
I like the cleaning argument.

When I got my V70 it had Amalthea's on and they were in a terrible state. I Was never very fond of them. However, had them refurbished and they look stunning. Now I'm quite a fan of them. My choice would be the rears!

I put Collinite 476 on the wheels and the dirt washes off them pretty easily.

Front ones look more aggressive... and a bit bit easier to clean (or use some Akebono pads and no more cleaning)

Thors might be easier to clean - but they need cleaning much more often!

The flat areas between and behind the spokes collect gravel in the wet. Given the choice, I would go for the wheels with the curved cross section.

Front ones are more manly but the rears are faster.

The front ones look easier to clean and putting wheel weight on rear of wheel I think would improve the looks, but as someone else said the rear wheels looks faster/sportier.

Hi hi hi Sorry to jump in here but if you go with the fronts I'm in the market for the ones on the fear. I have a wanted add for two or three amalthea 's without tyres. I do have set of stock T5 that might also be up for trade in a month or two.

Please feel free to drop me a message if you want to sell the rears.

Cheers chris

My personal choice would be to go with the front ones-although the rears aren't exactly hideous are they? But yes the front ones just edge it for me.
