Default Fuel / MOT

MOT question.
My V70R fuel cover will not lock due to a faulty servo.
Is a locking fuel system required for MOT??

The servo is £191 so I hope not.

(I know the servo actuates after 10 minutes)

Kind Regards
Brian

As long as the cap itself and its seal are in good condition you'll be fine.

As the reply above - if it doesn't lock then its worth trying cleaning and re-greasing the servo and then re-fitting it isn't too fiddly and only takes an hour or so to get it out from under the rear panel and back in again. Mines been OK for a couple of years since I did my P2 V70 - its the same actuator used in the 850/P1/P2/P3 series but the 850 has a wire unlock pull if the actuator fails in the locked position. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=143888

Strand number 5 has the pictures intact.

I'm breaking a V70 if you would like to replace the motor. But as already said, the cap needs to seal, not lock
