End of Lease
Has anybody on this forum handed a car back to Volvo at the end of a personal lease plan.
What happens ? Is it straight forward ? Thanks in advance |

If you are talking about a straight forward lease (none of that PCP/PHP mumbo jumbo) then I have with a Vauxhall and Mercedes.
I had both on 3 year lease and I opted for handback despite them still trying to persuade me to keep it or exchange for another deal etc. I just said take the piles of modern sh!t back then the lease company sent a bloke, who inspected the car and then took it. For me it was as simple as that. Can't see why it should be any different if handing back to a dealer on a straight forward lease.

I've leased BMW and Audi in the past and very straightforward collection process. Just make sure your car looks in good condition or they will look for faults, you here some horror stories of folks been charged lots to put things right but in my experience I've washed and cleaned it as if I were part ex-ing it and got someone to sort any scratches professionaly and everything has been fine. Oh and leave the poor guy some fuel in so he can get well on his way and he's going to be your best friend... my BMW was close to the limit on tyres but again no problem as he said, "they are not illegal and its going straight to auction"...
hope it goes well, best regards |

Have a look through this, http://www.drive-electric.co.uk/wp-c..._Wear_Tear.pdf
These are the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association's guidelines for fair ware and tear. When the vehicle is returned these guidelines must be adhered to on both sides
