I'd like it if the sensor view comes up if driving forward into a space and am pretty sure it does as standard with front sensors but guess it wouldn't if you only had cameras? All round sensors should be included as standard on this size of car I think, even the German brands do now I believe! (A6, 5-Series etc) The packs all look a touch messy in what they include to me. |

Not sure if it's the same with the S90.

Cheers for that, I'd imagine it would be the same for the S90! A bit tight of Volvo I think!

I've just built an S90 out of interest, and if you select the 360 camera you can only add the front park assist, but not the rear camera, which is exactly the same as my spec.

Jimrod, have you heard if your car is going to be a China build?
I'm assuming it likely is. |

Info seems a little varied, I've read that all the Chinese S90's are the long wheel base versions for China and the US while the standard versions will still be made in Sweden... That seems to conflict with other things I've read - one thing's for sure I don't want the car any longer than it already is! |

I have a Momentum, with the big display, reverse sensors and Pilot assist. That's it. I thought long and hard about what I actually used in both my old fully spec'd S80 and V60 cars, and I got it down to reverse sensors and adaptive cruise control. I don't find the S90 difficult to park or maneuver, getting used to its size fairly quickly. Just adding another viewpoint... especially as its a two year lease where you won't own it ...

Don't have a 360 camera or indeed even a rear camera on our XC90, and don't have any trouble parking it I'm sure they're great, but if on a lease, you're paying the full price divided by 24 payments - so essentially another £50/month just for the 360 camera?!

It'll be the biggest car I've had (next biggest would be a 2000 5-Series) and my concern would mainly be multi-storey car parks and when I fairly regularly have to go to city centres with tight on road parking. I know the 360 would be handy for that but not essential at all, the front sensors should cover it, although it's such a long car I'd have to be wary about scraping the sides on tight maneuvers! I think part of it is coming from my Skoda Yeti where I have the top spec, it has all the toys included heated seats, front window, all-round sensors, self-parking etc etc and it would be the one new toy I don't already have as much as being useful! But financially it doesn't make a great deal of sense really, just a cool toy I guess, but a £900 (extra) one! That's why I'm 50/50 on it mostly, the longer I drag it out the nearer it comes to getting too late anyway so I'll probably just dither until then! |

I often have to negotiate narrow multi-storey car parks with high concrete walls on the ramps, covered in a multitude of paint colours. Some of London's underground/basement ones are pretty tight in the S90. Hell, they are probably pretty tight in a Smart car given the amount of paint marks on them. However, I do not use the 360° camera for these, just the sensors. And I have managed not to scrape anything yet Where I do use the 360° camera is pulling into parking bays to line myself up at the sides and front/rear. The S90 is a big car, and I find the 360° view fantastic for this. That's my 2-peneth. I wouldn't be too bothered about the 360° camera in tight/narrow/twisty car-parks, the sensors should keep you safe there (and probably drive you insane in some of the tighter car parks
