Default v50 Anti skid error.

Afternoon folks,

I have just bought my first T5 and love it. However I have had the antiskid temp not available error pop up a couple of times.

Had the codes checked and came back with:
BCM-0082 Yaw rate sensor off set value
ECM-9400 brake pedal sensor - signal missing
ECM-940F Brake pedal sensor - signal missing
EPS-0081 Vehicle speed faulty signal.

Tech said these were intermittent and none were active at the time.

Any body know what may be causing these?

Thanks

Hi!

Vehicle speed code may be related to ABS sensors on each of the wheels - those provide accurate readout of every wheel's RPM. If any is wrong, it may trigger the error. Would be good to hook it up to diagnostic tool while driving and check if the speed is reported properly - it could tell you if any of them is faulty
Brake pedal sensor - as per description, although I have no clue where that is, I would imagine if that gives a faulty signal or readout, system deactivates to "safe mode" until next car's restart.
Yaw sensor - is located under driver's seat. There is a bunch of wires under the carpet going into it and it is responsible for DSTC system (dynamic stability control). Simplest thing to do - check if the connector is properly seated, no loose or broken wires maybe.

What you are describing may be related to 1 actual issue that is triggering all those faults (its like domino effect where lack of 1 sensor causes another sensor to not work either and disabling one of car's component). Not sure how to help you any more, but see what faults come back after a while and try to narrow down the search.

Do you know what equipment was used to check the codes? Volvo's diagnostic Vida+Dice or generic reader?

Thanks for the reply, Dice was used.

Will keep an eye out and get him to read them again if anything pops up.
Googling antiskid gives you a lot of horror stories so just trying to catch anything before it gets expensive.

Yes, it may be a big issue or a small wire that went loose trigerring all weird errors, hopefully it wont come back or if it does - you will get to the bottom of it.
