its the other way round,

there is no live to fuses 4 thru 8. however, if i poke a wire into 2 (unused) and tap 4-8 you can here the throttle valve opening.

so, is there a relay that runs said fuses? before i pull the fuse block out for a deek underneath.

also got a 10amp drain on the battery.. the mist is slowly clearing i feel

so, having released the fuse box, and with the battery disconnected (!!!) there is continuity between the input (where the cables bolt to the outside of the fusebox) and everywhere, except for fuses 4 thru 8, 11 and FMA2.

so either bits of copper have started to move around of their own volition, or something is not allowing power to them, such as possibly immobiliser??!

As I write this, even I don't believe it, but as long as my backside points in a southerly direction, it is gods honest truth. m'lud.

bearing in mind that no one even opened the bonnet before it broke down, I went, as chris suggested, to check fuse 23.

there wasn't a fuse 23. i fitted one. started first turn.

so amongst all the sniggering would someone mind trying to explain how it did 550 effing miles with no bloody fuse in it?????

no, the aa bloke didnt remove any. i watched him, and if said fuse had been there in the first place, surely it wouldn't have broken down anyway, or if it had blown it would have been spotted long before now.

***tifino! always said cars don't follow ohms law!

thank you to all members who have gone out of their way to help me today, its very much appreciated
