Default phone sim card?

Does anybody know if you can get a sim card copy made so that I don't have to keep taking mine out of my mobile to put in the car whilst I'm travelling?
Thanks

You could always get a pay as you go sim to leave in the car and divert your phone to it whilst you're driving?

I thought of that but I know with my contract I would pay to recieve calls that have been diverted and there not included in my free minutes.

Yes I have a twin card with Orange. I pay about 10 Euros extra a month but it's worth it. Avoids taking the sim card out and it's much safer making and receiving calls directly with the car functions. Pity we can't use bluetooth, which would be easier still.

Hi,

I've put another sim card in my car which is on a sim only contract at £15p/m which includes 600 anytime minutes per month (you can get cheaper plans). The car permanently has a phone in which has proved useful on the few occasions that I've rushed out the door leaving my phone at home or work.

I also have Friends and Family package wth Vodafone and just regiestered the number in the car as part of the friends and family calling group resulting in all of the diverted calls being free of charge.

This is also of benefit with the wife for when she drives the car, otherwise we would have had to of had two copied sim cards (@ £7p/m each). Vodafone did mention that as a result of copied sim cards you lose some of the 3G services. So having the additional sim card seemed a better and cheaper soultion to me as both myself and the wife still full 3G services on main phone.

Regards, Bill

I phoned orange customer service today and they told me that they don't do extra sim cards and haven't done for four years?

Guess I will have to go down the extra sim card/ friends and family route then. :-(

I just have a dedicated number for each of my cars and leave the SIM/Phone connnected in them all of the time. As mentioned above, just register the car's numbers on a friends and family list if you can and get the cost down even more.

I raised the issue some time ago and I use a Virgin payg as the recommendation was correct that 3G cards don't work, ask Tmobile for a 2G card!
