Good place to start would be oil & filter, plugs, coils, leads, pipes, hoses and replace your air filter with a more breathable K&N kit etc etc (performance brands) this wont add any BHP but it will ensure everything will be running as it should before you tune.

When you've done that get your ECU re programmed, this will increase the torque curve and the bhp. If you want a bit more power, start looking at throttle bodies then maybe a light weight flywheel and sports clutch.

I'm not sure you've posted in the right section as AFAIK there is no T5 model for the 2007-on V70 - there is a 2.5T?

Do you have a phase 2 car i.e. the 2000 to 2007 or one of the new 2007-on cars?

Ah OK, no problem, this part of the forum is for the new 2007-on car. Not having a go or anything, it's just more likely you'll get an answer from posting in the right place. Sorry to hear you've had problems with your car.

I had a look at tuning options for my facelift T5, have a look here:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...t=59535&page=5

I also go on to talk about the difference the various maps made to my insurance quotes. I sold the car before actually remapping it though. Don't worry about the air filter at this point, the 2.4 T5 has the induction system from the S60 R so it is more than up to the job of handling some extra ponies.

HTH

Cheers,
John

Default MTE software.

I can offer you the Swedish written MTE software for your car for £435 including VAT. That will give you outputs of 335bhp/480nm of torque.

You can install the software yourself with the aid of the MTE Softloader device that I can loan you against a deposit of £155.

You can otherwise purchase the MTE Softloader device which enables you to swap between standard and MTE software at will. You can then additionally buy either one or both of the very comprehensive MTE software packages for data logging and full diagnostics for £75 each.

There is a very comprehensive series of vids. on www.ipdusa.com the site of MTE's US distributor.

The post '05 MY T5 engine that you have in your car is the last and very best in that series of engines with much of the hardware from the somewhat delicate concurrent 'R' engines but with a robust narrower bore configuration.

Best regards, Don.
