Default drivers door window

i have recently aquired a v70. the drivers front window appears to have been replaced. the auto facility on the window does not operate correctly. the window will open correctly and when it closes on auto the window closes and then opens all the way to fully open. the haynes manual states thre window has to be initialised by manualy lowering then manualy raising to the full extent. i have tried this a number of times without success. can anyone suggest a "fix" for this problem please?

It might need to be "adjusted"
If when closing it re-opens, it's because it believes it has not reached the closed position and hits an "obstruction" so retracts again.

Dealer job I believe.

It is a dealer job - had to have mine done a couple of times when it was new. They should be able to do it whilst you wait though...

try raising to the fully up position, then release the switch, then raise the switch for 5 seconds again, this usually recalibrates without vida.
