The best P1800 wanted
P1800s wanted. As close to 'show' as poss. I shouldn't have got rid of mine a few years back. Must be in pristine condition. No rust or bubbles, no bodged sills. Is she out there?

what about finishing one yourself?
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C46392 This one fulfils the 'best' part, but is unfortunately in the US, and is an 1800ES, and is $45000! http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C63990 This one looks good but not perfect: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C58558 another immaculate ES: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/...hp/carno/20876 Nice, but in Ireland: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/...hp/carno/42094 Why are all the best ones abroad? http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/...hp/carno/41783 Last edited by stumph; Oct 17th, 2008 at 20:26. |

[QUOTE=stumph;415290]what about finishing one yourself?
spent 3 years restoring the last one, only for the wife to refuse to get in because the ride made her 'seasick". Simply don't have the time anymore, want to enjoy driving it again day to day. Thanks for the links, didn't see that nice one in Germany. cheers |

I've seen the metallic silver one on e-bay but I don't think that's an original colour and it looks some way off a minter. Buy it now is £6750 but bids are only standing at £4700 at the moment. Not sure whether its worth much more than £5500 though.

Stuart,
Would have been perfect - but for the gearbox....I need an auto (long story). Lots of ES's about with an auto box, but the P1800S auto seems pretty rare! Good luck! PS Got a V70 (the good lady's motor), got a V50 coming next month (so some excitement for me), but need the P1800 because I've got space in the garage for it, and need something to entertain at the weekends!
