Cleaning something sticky off the passenger seat led me to give all the leather a bit of TLC. First a clean with Autoglym leather cleaner, followed by a rub down with Autoglym Leather Balm. Looks good and definitely smells good!

The following wasn't done today but in the last week.

Fitted replacement speakers and got the amp fixed. Works well. I can hear the rear parking sensors now.

Gave the car a thorough clean and wax with Autoglym.
Cleaned and conditioned the leather.
Gave all the back trim a clean. The car looks great.
All of that took 6 hours.

Fitted new center hub caps on the wheels.

Jobs left to do.

1. Get the wheels reconditioned.

Bought a couple of roller-blind type cargo nets off eBay this week. Unused and at £25+carriage seemed a bargain. I had mental images of assorted brackets, screws and much swearing to get them fitted, but must have taken all of 5 minutes with no tools involved. Very well thought out.

Major service yesterday at local Volvo independent. This was the first major service in our ownership. No major dramas thankfully, but they picked up on error codes for 2 glow plugs. I'd noticed and reset these a couple of weeks ago so if they've returned it seems there's a hard fault. They say about an hour to replace, assuming no problem removing the old ones. They recommend replacing all 5, and using Volvo parts rather than after-market. Will have to wait for a while for that job.

I've no knowledge of the 'genuine' ones, but many manufacturers just buy in consumables like that from specialist makers.
The garage reckoned Volvo price is about £30/plug which stacks up with a couple of online prices - though obviously I'd shop around. Beru seem to be around the £12 mark.

Unfortunately I don't have Vida, but I understand that the voltage is marked on the plug body. Might have to invest in a socket and try pulling one out. After a good soak in PlusGas.

Added Aux port bluetooth adapter for a bit more music choice a few days ago.

Continued trying get to the bottom of my 'Headlight failure...' problem, see separate thread.
