Default Rear Seat Removal

Can anyone help with instructions on how to remove the back of the rear seat on an Amazon?

Have seen the two clips on each side towards the bottom, but presume the top has to be released first, how is this done?

Cheers
Dave

You bend the clips upwards which allows you to pull the bottom of the seat towards you. You then lift it up and out of the car.

The top of the seat has 2 or 3 prongs which stick down through holes in the rear parcel shelf. You can just see them if you look up inside the boot.

Thanks 940 Turbo and Alfista.

Makes perfect sense now. Had seen he prongs at the top going down into the boot but couldn't figure how to push them up with the seat secured at the bottom, now I know I just need to bend the prongs back the job should be a goodun!

Cheers

it might be a bit late but it is easer if you remove the base first buy lifting the front of the seat up

Default Rear Seat Upright Removal Tips

So I searched high and low for an answer to how to take the rear seat upright out and found nothing. I then explored and destroyed things in order to remove the seat back and found that on the bracket holding the pivot point, there is a slot between the existing nuts that hold the drivers side bracket on that allows for a screwdriver to fit down in and push the spring loaded pin back "into" the seat back. this allows one side to pop out and the passenger side to slide out unhindered. Hope this helps )

You sure you are talking about the Amazon rear seat here?

So a saloon volvo amazon two door and four door does come out with base removed then locate the lower corners bend tabs and lift forward then lift upwards to unhook the prongs that go downwards in to the shelve area .

The volvo amazon estate rear seats

Lift base and unbolt as you can see and expect easy enough then ! The rear Backrest upright section

Has a pivot prong in each pivot point/ corner lower left and right then locate the passengers side it has a slide in/out pin slide a screwdriver down and slide bk in to release then lift out and then pull to you as the drivers side ( RHD ) is a fixed pin does not slide

Just wanted to clear that up 😎👍

Kind regards
