Default Brake pedal position sensor O-ring

Hello,

the brake pedal position sensor was leaking the vacuum, so I took it off and repaired also finding that there was no contact inside. Now I can't get it back to its place. And it is related with O-ring. Where should it go to? http://prntscr.com/8k12lr to the 1 or 2 position (on a little higher part of the sensor)? For a lower part the O-ring seems to be big, but when I mount ring on the higher part, sensor can't be locked into booster..

Thanks in advance

Default position sensor

I recently replaced this sensor on mine and did not have any problem .I can't remember where the o ring went .Is it a new ring ?Or the old one which caused the leak being refitted .It should fit comfortably on the right surface without being stretched too much .

This was mine and it's not clear where the O-ring was but I think it will be position 2 on your picture.

Thanks for replies,

I'll try again on the second position. Sensor doesn't want to lock. Maybe ring is not an original one because someone have tried to repair the sensor. But it looks good. If I manage to set in place, I'll glue with hermetic.

Try squirting some oil on the C-clip. I found the corrosion on mine prevented it springing back into place to stop the sensor popping back out.

C-ring is moving fine. No luck with oil and force, too. Going to search for a smaller o-ring to the place 1. Maybe this option will work.
