Tried the PCV vynil glove test on my t5 as hadn’t done it since I bought last month (the T5 not the glove). It failed so adding that to my jobs list!

Attempted yet again to find the cause of my creaky rear wheel, its driving me mad!!!... Doesnt do it when its wet.. fitted a new hub, new disc, new caliper, doesnt appear to be the tyre as it still does it (when its doing it) even with the wheel off the ground.

Have you checked the bump stops and springs?

Havent tbh, does it at any speed though, even crawling, like an on/off creaking like a hard patch of rubber on the tyre or something.

There's a clue in "Doesn't do it when it's wet",
When it's wet the rubber in all the bushes etc gets lubricated a bit, so try spraying them all with silicon lubricant...might stop the creaking

As above.

On several cars I've owned, I've got underneath and given everything (except brakes!) a good blasting with Dinitrol or Waxoyle cavity wax, to slow down corrosion. This has worked well and resulted in some complimentary remarks at MoT time. The bonus is that it's also tended to work its way into bushes etc. and the car is always noticeably more quiet after treatment. It tends to last a lot longer than spraying with a rattle can too.

I use a paraffin gun off my compressor to do it - you may not have this facility, but if you do or know somewhere where you can borrow/hire the kit it's well worth doing. It's a mucky job, but worth it IMHO.

Just thought I'd mention it!

Its something that rotates with the wheel, just havent worked out what yet, its either the handbrake shoes are adjusted too tight or its the tyre
